Repairs & Restorations

French Hutch Restoration
This french hutch looked dull and was showing the effects of along life of use. Underneath all the aging was a beautiful hutch waiting to be restored.

Dresser Refinishing
This dresser was a garage sale find with significant damage. We repaired all damage and stripped all of the blue paint. Underneath we found beautiful wood! We added a Birdseye Maple veneer and gave it a contrasting black paint and shellac finish.

Buffet Repair and Refinish
This vintage buffet needed repairs to the drawer front, drawer slide, and water damage on the top. It was also refinished to match the client's decor.

Vintage Office Chair Repair and Refinish
This vintage office chair needed the seat repaired as a result of a major split. The entire chair was also refinished a dark walnut.

Dining Room Table Refinish
This large dining room table and two leaves was refinished to a more modern finish. This particular table had the additional challenge of being hand planed.

Cedar Chest Refinish and Reupholstery
This family cedar chest heirloom was refinished and reupholstered. The brass handles were removed and the top was given new, more modern fabric to match the dark walnut finish.

Danish Wishbone Chair Restoration
There are 6 of these famous Danish Wishbone chairs in the set that required refinishing and reweaving of the Danish cord seats.

Teak Outdoor Furniture Restoration
As you can see in the before picture, this entire set of teak furniture was greyed from aging. Each piece was restored to its original color.

Table Top Refinish
This table needed a simple refinish. It was sanded, repaired, and refinished to match the customer's decor.

Chair Leg Repair
This chair was damaged during a move. It was repaired and made stronger than ever (and the cracks aren't visible).

Dining Table Refinishing
The client wanted this dated dining room table refinished to match the finish of new chairs they purchased.

Bedroom Dresser Repairs and Refinishing
This bedroom dresser had significant water and ink damage. The entire top was repaired and refinished to match the rest of the piece.

Footstool Repair and Refinish
This footstool looked worn and dingy, but after a few repairs and a refinish the warmth and beauty of the wood pops. The client is having the footstool re-upholstered by Eclectic Designs.

Writing Desk Restoration
This child's writing desk was repaired, restored, and refinished. A new tabletop, rolltop, and shelves were added along with a new finish and new hardware.

Hand Strand Cane Seat
The seat of this ratan chair had damaged strand caning that had to be completely removed and the seat hand-caned with new stgrand.

Pressed Ratan Chair Back
The pressed ratan backing needed to be replaced. It was also stained to match other items in the collection.

Dining Table and Chairs
This oak table and chairs needed to be stripped, sanded and refinished just in time for a large family Thanksgiving meal.


Broken Chair Leg
This chair leg was broken during a move. Once repaired, the leg was strong and the break undetectable.

Veneer Repairs
This antique, French hutch had several veneer repairs including this one (can you spot it?). The entire hutch is pictured later in this photo gallery.

Three Nested Stools
This was an unusual project, refinishing and cleaning these three nested stools. I'd never seen stools like this, but they were sturdy and came back to life.

Kitchen Island Transformation
This blue kitchen valet was transformed into a kitchen island to the client's exact specifications. We removed the inset panels and replaced them with board and batten, removed the old paint, added new hardware, and repaired old damage.

Arm Chair Repair
This modern chair had a broken arm with a missing chunk of wood and a threaded insert.

Glass Doors
These standard cabinet doors were replaced with glass insets. The particle board shelves were also replaced with glass shelves.

Antique Hutch
This is a full image of the antique, french hutch that required several veneer repairs on the doors when they were damaged in transit. The hutch stands at about 8 feet tall and is over 100 years old.

Custom Arched Doors
Custom arched doors between the client's master bathroom and bedroom.

Custom Gate
This gate was created to replace the old, damaged gate. We also pressure washed the fence to bring it back to life.


Bench from Baby Crib
This custom bench was made from the parts of a baby crib. This is a great way to keep a part of your child's early years for many more years.


Custom Planter Beds
These four large planter beds were custom made of pressure treated lumber to fit the client's specifications and were assemble on-site.


Custom Child's Crib
This child's crib also converts to a toddler bed and a full-size bed.


Matching Dresser
This custom dresser was built to match the crib and provides a place for a changing table, clothes, and nooks for other child asundries.


Barn Doors
Custom built and fit barn doors that replace a split-door for a laundry room.


Hood Vent
Custom built and installed hood vent (that matches the barn doors).


Charcuterie Board
Live edge Walnut charcuterie board with an epoxy river.


Cutting Board
a simple cutting board made out of three types of wood: Walnut, Maple, and purple heart.


Custom Tea Box
This tea box is made out of cherry wood and has a custom copper inlay (next pic)


Copper Inlay
Custom copper inlay in the Birdseye maple top of the tea box.


Dog Crate
This dog crate was built to fit within the client's existing living room decor (note that this is the crate in it's raw state before being painted).


Walnut Bookcase
This walnut bookcase was built for a nursery and includes an epoxy inlay on the side.


Chess Board
This chess board and pieces were all built by hand and includes maple splines at the corners.


Tool Rack
This tool rack was built for my shop to keep all of my tools readily accessible for use.


Personalized Charcuterie Board
This charcuterie board was customized for a client who had an employee moving to another state.


Window Cornice Box
This cornice box is a giant 15 feet across to span across two windows in the client's living room.
